Netflix Selects Ideal Performer for Bentham in One Piece Upcoming Installment

Baroque Works is set to exert significant influence in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, although the real showdown won’t take place until the next season, and a cherished, popular member has recently been selected.

The streaming service revealed recently that the skilled actor will appear in the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will embody Mr. 2. The role can use their power to morph into an exact copy of any person they’ve made contact with with their right hand. The actor, who is gender non-conforming and prefers they/them pronouns, will portray a rendition of that figure reimagined as gender non-binary, instead of as a drag queen, in the live-action show, unlike the initial comic and anime.

This performer will work alongside a number of new cast members who will portray the group to the screen, such as leader Sir Crocodile, brought to life by the seasoned performer, a talented actress as Miss Goldenweek, and a familiar face, who will appear as the ensemble as the monarch of Alabasta.

Even though the role is a key figure of the group, the individual won’t appear until One Piece the upcoming installment. With season 2 likely to portray the Little Garden arc, this signals a major departure in the placement of the character’s debut, one that could indicate additional alterations to the narrative framework.

Their mix of precise humor and deep sensitivity makes them a ideal selection for the part. Along with their current animated role in the animated coming-of-age film Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and numerous honors for creating and performing in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, highlighting the range they’ll bring to one of One Piece’s widely praised characters.

The platform’s adapted One Piece show is set to return for its next installment on March 10, 2026.
